Our team comprises highly skilled professionals with extensive experience managing large-scale EV charging projects. Our engineering team expertly transforms concepts into practical, production-ready solutions, carefully navigating design complexities through detailed CAD development, prototyping, and rigorous testing. With a commitment to meticulous project management and clear communication, we work closely with a wide range of partners and stakeholders to ensure the successful and timely delivery of even the most intricate projects.
ANDREW AYLESBURY
COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR Product Design graduate with 15+ years of consultancy experience and co-founder of Duku. Andrew has managed over 400 design projects, focusing on planning, budgeting, financial reporting, and commercialization. He specializes in inclusive and ergonomic design, collaborating with Motability/RIDC on EV charging accessibility and contributing to BSi standards. Andrew leads funded consortiums, managing stakeholders and budgets.
BEN DAVIES
ELECTRONICS ENGINEER Experienced automotive electronics development engineer responsible for hardware & firmware system specification & development. Design of bespoke logic boards, motor drive systems and power electronics for Duku EV projects, as well as developing firmware and integration of third party systems and controllers. Wide range of experience in system testing, debugging and EMC compliance.

ALEX LEE
TECHNICAL DIRECTOR Alex, co-founder of Duku, oversees technical design for Duku's EV products and its entry into the EV charging market. He has successfully designed the world's first pop-up EV chargepoints, trialed at over 60 UK sites, and developed Duku's accessible EV charger. With expertise in system design, integration, and manufacturing strategy, Alex collaborates with partners to ensure smooth integration of Duku's technology in projects.
TAABISH KHAN
COMMERCIALISATION MANAGER BSc in Business Management and an MBA in Strategy, Taabish is responsible for scoping out the business environment, conducting market research, identifying commercialisation models, and taking Duku’s products to market. Alongside working on commercialisation, he also contributes to the overall strategic direction of the company, identifying new areas and opportunities for growth

JAMIE LAWRENCE
PRODUCT MANAGER Product Design degree educated, track record of delivering complex products to market. Skills include; project delivery, design team and client management. Product specification, BOM management, DFM and value engineering. Management of global supply chain and on-site factory quality control. Product testing & compliance to EN / ISO standards
ROBERT GAMES
PATENT ATTORNEY Robert, an experienced Patent Attorney and Managing Director of Albright IP, excels in understanding the needs of business leaders. With an Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering, he previously served as a Patent Examiner at the UK Intellectual Property Office. As a founding Director of Duku, he collaborates with Andrew and Alex to provide valuable insights on all aspects of IP, helping maximize their investments.

Final live trial in Plymouth with fully operational app and upgraded design paving the way for final production version launched in 2024.
UE ONE - MK 1
2018
World's first pop-up residential EV chargers created for Urban Fox. Live trial installed in Oxford for live trials with local residents.
UE ONE - MK 2
2020
Installed in front of the V&A Dundee and residential streets, the design features a 7.4KW charging socket which retracts when not in use.
